SNIFFLECOUGH STILL

Unfortunately for me, my cold/bronchitis is still hanging around.  I went back to the doctor yesterday and I’m now on a second round of antibiotics and continue on with the cough medicine.  I ‘m feeling a little better today, hopefully I’ll see this cold in my rearview in the next day or two.

Whatcha Workin’ On Wednesday #7

ON MY NEEDLES

Red Bird Knits Tulips

Just for the record – the top of the sock isn’t really wonky, it was twisted, which I didn’t notice until after the photo. 😋

I HAVE A QUESTION

I’ve tried to start a Wednesday WIP linky party, Whatcha Workin’ On? Wednesday, since Tami’s WIP Wednesday has gone by the board, with no success.  Here’s my question: Are linky parties an idea that has come and gone?  Am I doing it wrong?  Why no response?  What can I do to make it successful?  (That’s more than one question, I know.)  While the idea of expanding my reader numbers is attractive, I really just miss the inspiration of seeing what others are working on and touching base with other knitters/crafters.  So, any answers or suggestions?  I’d love to hear them.

SNIFFLECOUGH

Unfortunately, I’ve been sidelined these last few days with what started as a cold and then deteriorated into bronchitis.  I finally gave in to it yesterday and went to the doctor.  With the heavy duty cough syrup and antibiotic she prescribed, I should be on the mend soon.  You know I was sick – I didn’t pick up my knitting needles or paintbrushes all day yesterday, sleeping most of the day away.

MY OWN MIXED MEDIA

Before my cold hit like a ton of bricks, I painted this background, getting ready for 2015’s first project.

Watercolor on wet journal paper, Dylusions large art journal

I did some playing around with my new Big Kick die cutter – which I love, by the way – using some fabric scraps I had lying around.  I’m drawn to leaf shapes at the moment and here’s what they morphed into:

Original shape

Cotton fabric, die cut leaf shapes, glued onto bristol artist tile, distress ink

Playing around with the size and arrangement.
