about my Drop Stitch Shawl, I have one row and the bindoff and it will be finished. I’m going to add fringe and am toying with the idea of putting beads on the fringe. Maybe some that look like crystals, or some silvery stuff. Right now, I’m just basking in the euphoria that comes along with a FO.
Mirrorsocks are coming along. I love the grays. I do have to tattle on myself; several repeats of the pattern, patting myself on the back, then I decide to turn the page and see what’s coming up patternwise. That’s right, There’s a whole row that I didn’t know about. Not a big deal, the pattern is fine without being added onto, but now I know why reading the complete pattern is recommended BEFORE starting the actual knitting. Silly me.

lazy day. That is, her body has been lazy, but her brain’s still running full speed ahead. This is nothing new for me, I’m always (pretty much) in this mode, but lately, I’m feeling a little burned out. This whole thing with my parents, along with a close friend who is making really, really bad choices is about to take its toll on me. I hope that we find a place for Mom and Dad here in the next week or ten days, but things like this take time and we’re definitely feeling the crunch.
I got just a tad distracted from the Slippery Sock today, working on my Ipod sock, but they’re both coming along pretty well. Could part of my problem be caused by having too many WIPs and not enough FOs? Hummmm……. nope, don’t think so, not me, not the Nothing In Moderation Chick. Uh-uh. No, I didn’t think so. ; p New word coined today – under overachiever; how’s that for an oxymoron?

a photo of the first cables ever. I made the scarf for my DSIL, it was very long because I wasn’t sure how long it needed to be and just kept knitting until I ran out of yarn. It was a success, he said he loved it and it visited Europe with DD and DSIL.
I wish I had the picture of DSIL wearing it at the Eiffel Tower. I’m going to e-mail DD and she if she can’t send it to me. My scarf has turned out to be well travelled.
Off work tomorrow but have a to do list as long as my arm. Still, I won’t be at work.

Quickset socks pass out of the realm of the wip and into the heaven of FO. I wish I’d known how quickly they’d be finished, they probably wouldn’t have languished as long as they did. No matter, I now have a new pair of beautiful, fit like a dream, socks. As soon as I find the ball band, I’ll share yarn specifics. Check these out!
I give up. Feeling optimistic, I launched an assault on my stash, no go. The ball band has gone wherever ball bands go when it seems imperative that they be found and posted. Somewhere, a ball band is laughing….
Back to the real world tomorrow, snowmaggeddon has come and gone and work awaits.
